ZUHAL ESKIOCAK
My work is based on an intuitive process of exploration that unfolds through the relationship between line and form. Through dense lines, layered structures, and organic shapes, I aim to make inner rhythms visible. The process is rarely driven by a predetermined outcome; instead, it evolves as a fluid progression that allows line and form to find their own direction.
My practice develops along two main axes: an intense, almost meditative repetition through drawing, and the re-interpretation of the resulting forms through color and surface. Drawing represents the most direct expression of thought, while painting allows this thought to expand and gain spatial presence and depth.
Rather than presenting a fixed narrative, I seek to create open spaces for the viewer. The organic forms resist clear definition, leaving room for personal associations. This ambiguity is not a lack of meaning, but a quiet dialogue between the work and the viewer.
Concepts of time, repetition, and transformation are central to my practice. Each work exists both as a continuation of the previous one and as an independent moment. In this sense, my practice does not aim toward a final conclusion, but exists as an ever-expanding whole.
